Humanity discovered the hard way that the world was far more than its tangible aspects. The universe had a hidden face that humanity would need to explore and understand if it hoped to control its new environment – or even to simply survive. This is what the Yzmir have dedicated their lives to. They search for the dangerous and unsettling truth hiding behind the deceptions. For this Faction, knowledge goes hand in hand with power. And that's what will be needed to face the dangers that lurk at the margins of perception.

Armed with ancient and arcane knowledge that was revealed by the Confluence, the mystical Yzmir are now reviving magic in the world and determined to uncover all of its secrets. While some of them are primarily theorists and sages who study the metaphysical workings of the world, others actively practice sorcery and channel forces that transcend understanding. But regardless of their approaches and methods, all of them experiment with the occult in one way or another, determined to unravel the hidden mysteries of the universe.

Above all, the Yzmir are seekers of truth and meaning. The Confluence proved to humanity that science alone wasn't enough to fully understand the fundamental nature of reality. Its laws are a maze that must be explored, a labyrinth of shades of gray and deceptions. By making their minds the key to their power, they study the Tumult calmly yet tenaciously, with the aim of protecting humanity, selflessly and in the background, from the threats that lurk there.
